Fish oil, or Omega 3, could slow down the affects of the aging process…
It can also help control inflammation, lower blood pressure, lower cholesterol, and repair communication between our brain and our nerves.
How it works:
Our blood cells have what’s called telomeres, a DNA sequence linked to the end of each chromosome, inside of them.
As we get older, our telomeres begin to shrink.
Fish oil supplements help reverse the shortening process. They also fight to keep our telomeres healthier. Plus, fish oil helps to control chronic bouts of inflammation.
Inflamed cells can cause damage to telomeres and cause heart problems. By saving telomeres from shortening and keeping inflammation away, fish oil gives us more protection against the effects of aging.
