Can A Positive Lifestyle Lead To Negativity?
Some of you may be surprised by that question and may be wondering: Can being a positive person really have negative effects in my life? How is it even possible that a positive happy smile can create negativity around me? “Positivity” and “Being positive” are phrases used in articles, blogs, and social media pages about lifestyle and spiritual improvement. But what does it really mean to be positive? It means that no matter how bad a situation turns out, you can always find a way to make the best out of it.
“Positivity” is amazing, isn’t it? When life gives you lemons, you can make lemonade. When it rains, even without an umbrella, you will still find a way to smile. Well, life is unexpected and there really is no way you can possibly be prepared for everything that comes your way. The truth about having a positive attitude is that you really can make it through anything, but with a couple of scars of course. To have a correct positive attitude is to understand that everything happens for a reason. I know, you have heard that cliche so many times but think about it. If this X situation didn’t happen in your life, you wouldn’t have met that X person or you wouldn’t have learnt the X lesson. Pretty simple.
You might be wondering “When does positivity start to bring negative effects in your life?” The answer is quite simple: Positive intentions result in negative results when you use positivity to cover a problem instead of solve it. Let’s take a look at this from a natural perspective. The stars shine in the night sky. When the sun sets, we can enjoy the beautiful moon. After the rain, we can admire an amazing rainbow. Do you see how everything works in harmony? The stars don’t outshine the night and the sun doesn’t cover the moon’s brightness.
We are connected to nature and planet Earth. Many times we have heard wise people complaining that we are harming Earth with our actions. It is an obvious truth that we hurt the planet with our lifestyles and we try to present it’s okay. This situation reflects in our lives too. We love animals and we post photos of them in social media, but how many of us are aware of which species are about to go extinct? That simple question shows how our positive attitudes can turn into negativity because we are unaware and numb to the truth. The truth is that this planet is dying slowly but our positive hopes transform it all into an amazing illusion. How many times do you stare at the beauty of Earth from photos you find online? But how many times have you questioned how easily hurricanes or catastrophic earthquakes can wipe whole cities? Humanity tries to ignore it because it hurts. Nature’s wrath can kill millions faster than a nuclear bomb and if we ponder about it long enough, it makes us afraid.
Too much positivity in your relationships can also cause some negative effects. The connections you make are not based solely on trust, love, compassion and care. Let’s be real here. Of course you don’t enjoy people in your life who want to hold you back or leech off of your happiness. You probably only want to surround yourself with individuals who support you, love you and want the best for you. Our society teaches us that negative emotions as bad in a relationship, so much that sometimes we consider tears as a sign of weakness and anger as merely a form of destruction. On the other hand, a single smile as an attribute of a good person, right? We all end up considering compassion as the best quality a person can have.
We all end up applying those same perspectives to the relationships we have. Our focus on achieving a positive lifestyle and connection with others ends up becoming a mask for hiding anything negative. The truth is that we shouldn’t run away from our problems with positive affirmations. It is impossible to hide from your pain with a bunch of smiles. The problem in our society is that we use positivity as a painkiller. We don’t want to deal with negative issues, therefore we find something positive to cover it all up. Many people try creating vision boards with this purpose of their dream house, a pet they want to have or even goals for the future.
So what is the difference between “good” and “bad” positivity? The good one is when you have already accepted the negativity in your life previously. Life is not all peaches and cream. Issues come up every day and you cannot ignore them by creating a utopia to replace them, where everything is amazing and perfect. When we allow positivity to fuel the illusions we rather see in our lives on top of our problems, negativity eventually overcomes the positivity because the intentions are imbalanced.
But why should you really try so hard to stay positive every single day? I have asked my students and friends this question so many times and the answer is often “I am afraid that when I die, I will have wasted a life of being negative and focusing on what is wrong”. How many of you believe that we have only one life to live and we need to live it the fullest? That fear of death causes many of us to ignore everything bad or negative in our lives. We strive to make the best of our lives. We want to have the best food, best spouse, best vacation. How many times do people make lists of “These 10 things you need to do before you die” or “30 places to see before you die”?
The truth is that everything is energy. Scientists have proved that so many times and it is not questionable. Vishva and I have been in the business of spiritual psychology for many years now. From our experience as Psychic Mediums Specialized In Past Life Regression Therapy, there is really nothing to fear about death. Death is just a transformative state of energy. Memories are not being lost when we pass on into the afterlife. Emotional memories and experiences we’ve had will never be lost. The soul always remembers.
Each one of us have had many past lives and we will have much more in the future. When we realize that, our mistakes won’t mean the end of the world. We won’t be afraid of being “negative” or doing bad things. We will feel free and this freedom will help us understand that we don’t need to try to be positive or have any other specific attitude towards life. Life is beautiful already. The secret to happiness is to be yourself, balanced and authentic, positive and negative. Embracing the balance of negativity and positivity in our lives will help you stop trying so hard and just live your life to the fullest naturally.
Here Are 3 Easy Tips On How To Introduce Balance In Your In Life:
1) Don’t be afraid to use the tears as a medicine. Don’t let anger scare you. Let those emotions flow no matter how bad they make you feel. They only become negative when you suppress them. Think what happens when you try to ignore that you have feelings for someone. They magnify and they start “eating” you within, correct? So as you see, there are not really positive and negative emotions but more like our perception towards them.
2) If you haven’t started meditating, then it is a good time to start. Even science has proven that meditation offers balance to our internal organs and hormones along with emotional benefits too. Pick meditation music and guided meditations that make you feel comfortable. I usually recommend chakra balancing with guided meditations to my students. They are friendly for beginners and can be even used by those who are already advanced in meditation.
3) Give your dreams and fantasy the attention they need. The meaning of dreams can reveal a lot about who you are. Do you remember when you were a kid and you used to daydream a lot? When your dreams were significant? The whole point is to access your innocence and embrace your Inner Child. Keep a journal with your dreams and thoughts. When you were a child, there were no positive or negative experiences. You were just experiencing life! You were not afraid of climbing on that high tree because you would get hurt. So time to remember how to be a child again!
