It’s so early in the morning that I’m still sipping on my British Green & Black Breakfast Tea. Good stuff and supposedly good for you.
Not that I’ve yet had breakfast.
I’m too busy ‘ritin’ and readin’ and listening to old school Ska on Pandora. Ska is such an infectious, happy music, and gets my juices pumping. Ska music gave birth to Rocksteady which was the forerunner of Reggae, both musical styles I also love.
Sorry, got carried away there…
Speaking of reading, what books are you reading right now?
I once heard some self-help
guru parasite on society’s behind, say something like: “5 years from now, you’ll be the books you’re reading today.”
Guess he was speaking metaphorically, and even then, the statement is a little thin around the edges.
At the end of the universe, I seriously doubt if it’ll makes much difference whether we read, or spend our days watching soap operas.
Yet, books can transport us to places and times we could never go. With a turn of a page, we can outwit a master criminal, track a bandit in the old American west, return to the magic of childhood, sail the 7 seas, or fall in love with our soul mate.
This week I’ve got 4 books going. If that seems a lot, the logic works out:
- Kindle book about making money on the Internet, which I read on my laptop when I get stuck writing, or editing. To see why I love my Kindle Click Here
- Paperback about living healthy, which I read… uh in the bathroom
- Kindle mystery/detective novel, which I read when I first go to bed
- And a softcover spiritual journey type book that I read before I turn the light off for the night
See, works out nice & clean.
Although I’ll have finished the two Kindle books, I’ll give you the details of all 4 next week. Right now I need to go have breakfast…
One last thing, in the comments section below, let me know what you’re reading, have read, or wanna read. I’d be interested to know.
Ideas for me, your aging related story, or comments are very damn welcome…
