The upcoming 2016 Academy Awards (Oscars), got me thinking about my favorite movies.
Thought I’d make a list of 10 of them and share it with you.
Yet, making a list of my 10 favorites…
Was an impossible task!
Can’t understand how anyone could narrow down to 10, from the thousands of movies they’ll see during their lifetime.
It’s like asking me to name my favorite pop song.
You gotta be kidding me.
I mean, asking me to choose between, say Iggy & The Stooges’ I Wanna Be Your Dog and Marilyn Manson’s Beautiful People isn’t too difficult.
But, how do you leave out The Clash’s London Calling? Or, XTC’s Making No Plans For Nigel?
On the other side of the musical coin, so to speak, what about Jefferson Starship’s sappy Miracles?
How do you compare Miracles to I Wanna Be Your Dog?
They’re both love songs.
But, how very different they are!
Yet, when in the mood, I really like them both.
On the other hand, I really like Flo Rida’s My House!
Truth is, I’m just too shallow, and maybe too fickle, to come up with a fave list of…Anything!
My list of favorite movies is randomly based, and might be different later this afternoon.

Once Upon A Time In Mexico
The Producers, Zero Mostel version.
The New Guy, watch out for Kool Moe Dee and Henry Rollins.
It’s A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World
Palm Springs Weekend, because of Jack Weston & Carole Cook and featuring pre ‘Lost In Space’ Bill Mumy.
Most Steven Seagal, Jean Claude Van Damme & Vincent Price movies…
Why? Because they’re so funny!
Oh yeah, Tony Randall & Debbie Reynolds in The Mating Game. Old fashioned love story that’s truly funny.
OK. If I had to pick one movie that is my all around favorite: Joe Versus The Volcano. This movie just works on so many levels…
Worse Movie Ever:
Nacho Libre. Well, maybe it’s not the worse ever. But, it’s really, really, bad!
If I was into torturing you, this list could be longer.
Point is, how could anyone single out just 10 of the many really good movies that have been made since the 1920’s?
Plus, with my list, I didn’t even touch on the movies of my favorite movie makers.
People like Guy Ritchie, John Ford and even Ice Cube.
Anyway, if you love movies, I’ll wager you can’t pick just 10 of your favorites, either.
Speaking Of Sappy Love Songs:
Yeah, I’m a sucker for harmonies!
